of <h1>Customs Board Streamlines TRA Issuance: No Import Documents Needed, Based on Declared Value Only.</h1> The circular addresses the delay in issuing Telegraphic Release Advice (TRA) under the Advance License, DEPB, and DFRC schemes due to the non-receipt of necessary import documents like invoices and bills of lading. To mitigate this issue and avoid demurrage charges, the Customs Board has decided that the Custom House at the port of license registration will no longer require these documents to issue a TRA. Instead, the TRA will be issued based on the declared value of the imported goods. The responsibility for verifying the eligibility of the goods remains with the Customs Officer at the port of import. Public notices and orders will be issued for guidance.
