This decision follows verification by Central Excise Commissionerates that both products use the same inputs and have similar consumption patterns, primarily in the garment industry. Consequently, the drawback rates applicable to Heat Resistant Rubber Tension Tape will also apply to Heat Resistant Latex Rubber Thread. Pending and future claims should be processed accordingly, and relevant public and staff notices should be issued.
