of <h1>Trade credit for import of precious and semi-precious stones limited to 90 days from shipment, effective immediately</h1> Suppliers' and buyers' credit, including the usance period of letters of credit opened for import of precious stones and semi-precious stones, are limited to a maximum of 90 days from the date of shipment, with immediate effect; this restriction governs trade credit tenor for such imports. Existing instructions concerning direct import of gold, import of platinum/palladium/rhodium/silver, advance remittance for import of rough diamonds, and import of rough, cut and polished diamonds remain unchanged and continue to apply. AD Category-I banks are required to notify their constituents and customers of these directions.
