Suffix for Authorised Representatives.</h1> The circular issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, announces the re-designation of officers representing the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) before the Customs, Excise, and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT). Effective immediately, the designations have been updated to include the suffix '(A.R.)' for 'Authorised Representative.' Changes include Chief Commissioner to Chief Commissioner (A.R.), Commissioner to Commissioner (A.R.), and similar updates for additional, joint, deputy, and assistant commissioners, as well as superintendents and appraisers. The updated designations should be used in future correspondence.
