of <h1>Minimum Export Price for Sona Masuri, Ponni Samba, Matta Rice Reduced to $600 per Metric Ton.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has amended the Minimum Export Price (MEP) for exporting Sona Masuri, Ponni Samba, and Matta varieties of non-Basmati rice. Previously set at USD 850 per metric ton, the MEP is now reduced to USD 600 per metric ton. This adjustment is effective immediately and modifies the earlier Public Notice No. 44 dated March 31, 2011. The change aims to regulate the export pricing of these rice varieties under the Foreign Trade Policy for 2009-2014.
