of <h1>DGFT Clarifies 2011-12 Marble Import Eligibility: Focus on Manufacturing Turnover, Excludes Trading Turnover.</h1> The circular issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade clarifies the eligibility criteria for importing rough marble blocks for 2011-12. Only units with a marble gangsaw machine installed by March 31, 2011, and a cumulative manufacturing turnover of at least five crores from 2005-2010 are eligible. The focus is solely on manufacturing turnover of processed marble slabs/tiles, excluding trading turnover. Units with mixed turnover must separate and apply based on manufacturing figures. Units with only trading turnover that applied mistakenly should withdraw their applications to avoid penalties under the FTD&R Act 1992.
