MCA mandates electronic payments for services under MCA 21 up to Rs. 50,000 to enhance service delivery efficiency.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has decided to enhance service delivery by mandating electronic payments for MCA 21 services up to Rs. 50,000, effective March 27, 2011. This decision follows the identification of delays caused by offline payments via physical challans, which require up to three days for bank confirmation. Online payments, confirmed within one day, expedite the processing of applications. For payments exceeding Rs. 50,000, stakeholders may choose between electronic and paper challan methods until October 1, 2011, after which electronic payments will be mandatory.
