Seeking permission of the Court to withdraw the impleadment application - monetary limit involved in the appeal - HELD THAT:- By a Circular dated 6 August 2024 of the Revenue Division, Judicial Cell (Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs), Ministry of Finance, the monetary threshold of the tax effect for filing an appeal to the Supreme Court has been increased from Rupees two crores to Rupees five crores. The Additional Solicitor General has confirmed that the tax effect in the present matter is less than Rupees five crores. The application is permitted to be withdrawn. The Supreme Court increased the monetary threshold for filing appeals to Rs. 5 crores from Rs. 2 crores. The tax effect in the present case was less than Rs. 5 crores, so the Special Leave Petition was disposed of. An impleadment application was withdrawn with permission from the Court.
