Versus MUNJAAL MANISHBHAI BHATT & ORS. - TMI The Supreme Court, addressing petitions challenging a certain Notification struck down by both the Delhi and Gujarat High Courts, observed that despite these judgments, demands based on the impugned Notification continue nationwide. Consequently, the Court ordered that 'pending consideration of these petitions, there shall be no coercive steps nor any adjudication of any show-cause notice' issued pursuant to the Notification. Additionally, it directed the Union of India to comply with the High Court's refund orders, mandating refunds be made within four weeks, subject to the final outcome of the petitions. This interim relief preserves the status quo and prevents enforcement actions based on the disputed Notification until the Supreme Court's determination.
