Supreme Court condones delay but dismisses appeals for lacking merit after examining case records

The SC granted condonation of delay after hearing the Additional Solicitor General for appellants and examining case records. However, the Court found the appeals devoid of merit and dismissed them accordingly. The three-judge bench concluded that despite condoning the procedural delay, the substantive appeals lacked legal foundation and were therefore liable to be dismissed.

The Supreme Court of India, in an order delivered by Justices H.L. Dattu, Arun Mishra, and Amitava Roy, granted condonation of delay. After hearing the Additional Solicitor General for the appellants and examining the case records, the Court held that the appeals were "devoid of any merit" and accordingly "are liable to be dismissed and, are dismissed accordingly."
