Grant of Default bail - Section 167(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code - HELD THAT:- There are no reason to interfere with the order impugned. However, we make it clear that the observation which has been made by the High Court is only limited for examining the scope and ambit of the default bail under Section 167(2) of the Code and will not affect merits of the trial. SLP dismissed. The Supreme Court dismissed Special Leave Petitions challenging a High Court order granting default bail under Section 167(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code. The Court clarified that the High Court's observation on default bail does not impact the trial's merits. The question of law remains open.
