Preventive detention - HELD THAT:- The lethargy in approaching this Court has made this position practically infructuous though we would have some reservations on the principles sought to be pronounced vide the impugned order - this special leave petition not entertained, but it is made clear that the impugned judgment would not be treated as a precedent setting out any proposition of law. SLP disposed off. The Supreme Court of India in 2019 (3) TMI 1995 condoned delay in a preventive detention case where the respondent was at large for over six months out of a one-year detention period. The Court did not entertain the special leave petition and clarified that the judgment would not set a legal precedent. The petition was disposed of along with pending applications.
