Problem related to unlisted shares' PAN No.
Senior Shareholders Struggle with ITR for Unlisted Shares; CBDT Clarifies Reporting Rules for AY 2019-20 The article addresses issues faced by senior shareholders in filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) for unlisted shares, particularly the difficulty in obtaining the PAN of companies from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) data. It highlights the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) clarifications for the Assessment Year 2019-20, addressing various queries related to ITR forms. These include reporting requirements for foreign directorships, unlisted shares, and stock-in-trade assets. The CBDT provides guidance on handling cases where PAN is unavailable, and details on reporting foreign assets, stock-in-trade, and transactions in foreign currency. (AI Summary)
We all welcome CBDT's decision for extending last date of ITR filing
Now we urge CBDT to revisit it's decision to file ITR with unlisted shares' holding list showing PAN No. of concerned Co.
Please understand small senior shareholders difficulty as Company Master Data page of MCA do not contain this PAN detail that's why for we seniors it is a problem.
Besides due to so many reasons we seniors don't know correct position of unlisted co. though we have shares either in physical mode OR in demat mode.
Trust CBDT will provide relaxation on this point understanding practical difficulty as explained above.
