of <h1>Pan Masala Packing Machines Duty Rules Established Under Section 3A of Central Excise Act, Effective July 2008.</h1> The Pan Masala Packing Machines (Capacity Determination and Collection of Duty) Rules, 2008, were established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue. These rules, issued as Notification No. 30/2008-Central Excise (NT), were enacted under the authority of sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 3A of the Central Excise Act, 1944. The rules officially came into effect on July 1, 2008, and are intended to regulate the determination of capacity and collection of duty for pan masala packing machines.
