Kisan Vikas Patra Scheme 2019: permitted account types-single holder, Joint A, Joint B-and who can open them
Prescribes the permissible account types under the Kisan Vikas Patra Scheme, 2019 as (i) Single Holder Type Account, (ii) Joint A-Type Account, and (iii) Joint B-Type Account. A Single Holder Type Account may be opened by an adult in his own name, by an adult as guardian on behalf of a minor or a person of unsound mind, or by a minor who has attained ten years of age; this enables investment under the scheme in individual capacity or through lawful guardianship. A Joint A-Type Account may be opened by up to three adults and is payable to all holders jointly or to the survivors; this requires joint entitlement subject to survivorship. A Joint B-Type Account may be opened by up to three adults and is payable to any holder or the survivor(s); this permits operation/entitlement by any joint holder subject to survivorship.
