of <h1>Society Ceases to Exist as Corporate Entity Upon Registration Cancellation Under Co-operative Societies Act, 1912 Sections 39 & 40.</h1> When the registration of a society is canceled under the Co-operative Societies Act, 1912, the society ceases to exist as a corporate entity. If the cancellation follows the provisions of section 39, the society dissolves from the date the cancellation order takes effect. If the cancellation is under section 40, the dissolution occurs from the date of the order itself.
