State exemption power for firm registration permits exclusion by official notification under the Act where specified. State governments may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that the provisions governing registration of partnership firms shall not apply to the whole State or to any part thereof specified in the notification, thereby exempting the territorial application of that Chapter.
