Partner liability after dissolution continues until public notice, with limited estate and retirement exemptions. Partners remain liable to third parties for acts done by any partner after dissolution that would have bound the firm before dissolution, until public notice of dissolution is given; any partner may give such notice. Exemptions limit liability of a deceased or adjudicated insolvent partner's estate and of a retiring partner not known to the person dealing with the firm.
