Partnership by contract: familial status alone does not create a partnership; family businesses are not partnerships by status. The relation of partnership is contractual and not created by personal or familial status; members of a Hindu undivided family carrying on a family business, and a Burmese Buddhist husband and wife carrying on business as such, are not partners by virtue of that status alone.
