        Offshore Banking Unit application must follow Form VI filing and conditions under RBI FEMA notification for SEZ operations. Establishment and operation of an Offshore Banking Unit in a Special Economic Zone requires application to the Reserve Bank using Form VI under the Banking Regulation (Companies) Rules, 1949 (section 23 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949), and the unit must operate subject to terms and conditions specified in Notification FEMA 71/2002-RB as amended.
