Duplicate pass-book issuance and condonation of subscription default require application and prescribed fee payments.

Where a subscriber's pass-book issued by an accounts office is lost or destroyed, the office may issue a duplicate on application and payment of rupee one. A subscriber who fails to subscribe in any year may apply to the accounts office for condonation of the default; condonation requires payment of a prescribed fee for each year of default together with the arrears subscription for each such year.
