Attached Property to Be Kept in Custody; Tax Recovery Officer Authorizes Safe Custody and Determines Remuneration
Where attached property is not kept at the place of attachment, it must be placed in the custody of an officer, referred to as the 'custody officer,' who is subordinate to and authorized by the Tax Recovery Officer. The custody officer can move the property to the Tax Recovery Officer's office for supervision or arrange for its safe custody with another suitable person, with the Tax Recovery Officer's approval. The Tax Recovery Officer may also determine the remuneration for the person responsible for safeguarding the property.
