Claim filing procedure under wage law allows group applications, service of notice, and ex parte hearing on non-appearance. Rule 49 prescribes the form and procedure for filing claims under the Code on Wages. A single application in Form-II may be filed for any number of employees or a group of employees in the same establishment where the claims relate to the same wage period or an incident of discrimination, and it may be submitted manually or electronically with the required documents before the notified authority. The authority must then serve the employer with notice in Form VIII and fix a date for appearance with documents and witnesses.
