Undisbursed employee dues after death must be deposited with the labour authority through prescribed banking modes. Undisbursed amounts payable to a deceased employee, where no nomination exists or payment to the nominee cannot be made, must be deposited by the employer with the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) after six months from the due date and within the prescribed fifteenth-day period. The deposit must be made by bank transfer or by a crossed demand draft from any scheduled bank in India drawn in favour of that authority.
