Public servant disclosure penalties revised to simple imprisonment up to one month or fine, effective April 1, 2026. The amendment replaces the previous penalty of imprisonment extendable to six months plus fine for public servants who disclose prohibited particulars with simple imprisonment up to one month, or a fine, or both, applying to contraventions of the statutory disclosure prohibition and coming into force on 1st April, 2026.
