          <h1>Public servant disclosure penalties revised to simple imprisonment up to one month or fine, effective April 1, 2026.</h1> The amendment replaces the previous penalty of imprisonment extendable to six months plus fine for public servants who disclose prohibited particulars with simple imprisonment up to one month, or a fine, or both, applying to contraventions of the statutory disclosure prohibition and coming into force on 1st April, 2026.
