of <h1>Foreign exchange guarantees under FEMA now governed by 2026 regulations, replacing Notification FEMA 8/2000-RB from publication date</h1> The Foreign Exchange Management (Guarantees) Regulations, 2026 are prescribed as the short title of the instrument and replace the earlier Notification No. FEMA 8/2000-RB, while preserving the validity of acts done or omitted before such supersession. The regulations take effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette, with operative consequence that, from that date, guarantees under FEMA are governed by the 2026 regulations instead of the superseded instrument.
