All recorded CCTV footage must be preserved for at least forty-eight months from the date of recording, ensuring long-term availability for inspection and verification. On written requisition, the manufacturer must furnish the requested recorded CCTV footage to the designated Central Excise officers or an authorised officer within forty-eight hours of receipt of the requisition, enabling timely access to surveillance records for enforcement and compliance purposes.
