Trial as summons case: Special Court must treat specified offences as summons cases under applicable statutory summons-trial provisions. Offences under this Chapter punishable by imprisonment not exceeding two years or by fine, or both, shall be tried by the Special Court as a summons case, and the summons-case trial provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 shall apply accordingly.
