of <h1>Section 21A of Wealth-tax Act Amended: New Clause Overrides Section 5(i), Retroactive from April 1, 1993.</h1> Section 21A of the Wealth-tax Act has been amended by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1996. The amendment replaces the phrase 'Where any property is held' with 'Notwithstanding anything contained in clause (i) of section 5, where any property is held.' This change is retroactively effective from April 1, 1993.
