Readjustment of parliamentary seats deferred until subsequent census figures are published, with elections on existing constituencies permitted. The amendment adds provisos to Article 82 allowing the President to specify the date on which a readjustment of seats takes effect and permitting elections to be held on existing territorial constituencies until that date; it also defers the requirement to readjust allocation and division of seats until the relevant figures for the first census taken after the year 2000 have been published.
