of <h1>Finance Act, 1992: Expenditure-tax Act Amended, Tax Increased to Rs. 1200, Effective June 1, 1992, Section 3 Updated.</h1> Section 3 of the Expenditure-tax Act, 1987, was amended by the Finance Act, 1992, effective June 1, 1992. The amendment increased the amount specified in clause (1) from 'four hundred rupees' to 'one thousand two hundred rupees.' Additionally, in clause (2), the phrase 'before the 1st day of June, 1992' was added at the end.
