Amendment of Article 227 substitutes clause (1) to state that every High Court shall have superintendence over all courts and tribunals throughout the territories in relation to which it exercises jurisdiction, and omits clause (5), thereby clarifying the High Court's supervisory authority over subordinate courts and tribunals within its territorial jurisdiction.
