The rates are set as follows: letters are charged Re. 1.00 for every 20 grams; letter-cards cost 75 paise; single post cards are 15 paise, with reply cards at 30 paise, and those with printed communication at 60 paise. Book, pattern, and sample packets are Re. 1.00 for the first 50 grams and each additional 100 grams. Registered newspapers have varying rates based on weight, and parcels cost Rs. 6.00 per 500 grams.
