Age limit reduction to sixty five alters commencement and applicability of compulsory deposit obligations under the amended scheme. Amendments to the Compulsory Deposit Scheme Act postpone section 3(1) to 1 April 1986, reduce the upper age limit in section 3(3) to sixty five years effective 1 June 1983, and modify section 4(1)(iv) to apply to every subsequent assessment year except those commencing on or after 1 April 1986. Sections 4(3) and 6(2) insert references to clause (c) of section 115C effective 1 June 1983. Section 8(1A) is rewritten to set commencement dates for individuals who attained sixty five before 1 April 1983 and for those who attain it thereafter.
