Custody of records and procedural control centralise case processing, certification and confidentiality for competition regulatory proceedings. The Secretary holds custody of the Commission's records and official seal, acts as nodal officer for statutory communications and foreign agency relationships, represents the Commission in legal proceedings, assists in budget and fund administration, ensures confidentiality and record maintenance, and possesses comprehensive procedural powers to receive, scrutinize, serve, certify, preserve and disclose documents and to manage service-related processes and record retention.
