of <h1>Regulation 53 empowers CCI to invite eminent experts for assistance, with full discretion over terms and evaluation.</h1> Regulation 53 of the CCI (General) Regulations, 2024, allows the Commission to invite experts of eminence to assist in fulfilling its functions under the Law of Competition. The Commission has the authority to determine the terms, conditions, and timing of such invitations. Additionally, the Commission retains absolute discretion in evaluating the expertise or eminence of the experts invited. This provision operates without prejudice to sub-section (3) of section 36 of the Act or any guidelines issued thereunder.
