of <h1>Rule 14 ensures pending compounding applications continue under 2000 rules despite new 2024 regulations taking effect</h1> Rule 14 of the Foreign Exchange (Compounding Proceedings) Rules, 2024 addresses the transition of pending matters upon implementation of new regulations. Any compounding application that remains pending before the compounding authority at the time these 2024 rules take effect will continue to be processed under the previous Foreign Exchange (Compounding Proceedings) Rules, 2000, which have been superseded. This provision ensures continuity for ongoing proceedings and prevents disruption of cases already in progress under the former regulatory framework.
