        Continuation of pending compounding applications governed by earlier compounding rules upon commencement of new rules. Any compounding application pending before the compounding authority at the commencement of the new rules shall continue to be governed by the provisions of the earlier Foreign Exchange (Compounding Proceedings) Rules, 2000, which are superseded by the current instrument.
