        Discharge on compounding: compounding authority must notify adjudicating authority to effect discharge of the person. Where a contravention is compounded after a complaint has been made, the compounding authority specified in the Rules must give written notice of the compounding to the Adjudicating Authority, and upon such notice the person in relation to whom the contravention was compounded shall be discharged.
