of <h1>Finance Bill 2024 amends Central Excise condition: Duration now 162 months, compliance period 156 months. Effective June 29, 2017.</h1> The Fifth Schedule of the Finance (No. 2) Bill, 2024, amends a prior notification (G.S.R. 163(E), dated March 17, 2012) related to Central Excise. Specifically, in Condition No. 43 of the Annexure, the amendment changes the term duration from 'one hundred and twenty-six months' to 'one hundred and sixty-two months' and adjusts the compliance period from 'one hundred and twenty months' to 'one hundred and fifty-six months.' These changes took effect on June 29, 2017.
