Direct listing of equity shares: permits Indian public companies to list on specified international exchanges subject to eligibility and compliance. Direct listing permits public Indian companies to issue new equity or offer existing shareholders' shares on specified International Exchanges if shares are dematerialised, rank pari passu with Indian-listed equity, and comply with sectoral caps, prohibited activities and foreign holding limits. Permissible holders are non-residents whose holdings from land-border countries require Central Government approval; permissible holders must ensure compliance and be disclosed. Eligibility excludes companies or persons debarred from capital markets, wilful defaulters, fugitive economic offenders, or companies under Companies Act inspection, with SEBI and MCA norms applicable for listed and unlisted issuers respectively.
