Self-incrimination protection limited: compelled witness answers are immune from criminal use but subject to perjury prosecution. A witness is not excused from answering questions relevant to civil or criminal proceedings on the ground that the answer would criminate or expose the witness to penalty; compelled answers shall not subject the witness to arrest or prosecution nor be proved against them in criminal proceedings, except for prosecution for giving false evidence based on that answer.
