of <h1>New Law Restricts Evidence from Unpublished State Records Without Department Approval under Section 129 of Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023.</h1> Section 129 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023, prohibits individuals from providing evidence based on unpublished official records concerning State affairs unless authorized by the head of the relevant department. The department head has the discretion to grant or deny permission for such evidence to be disclosed.
