Admissions by reference: statements of persons expressly referred to by a party are treated as admissions in the dispute. Statements by persons whom a party has expressly referred another party to for information about a matter in dispute are admissions; if a party directs an opponent to consult a named individual about the disputed subject, that individual's statements on the subject are admissible as admissions arising from the referral.
