of <h1>Regulation 59B: Alternative IPO Process via Pre-Filing Draft Offer Document in SEBI Capital and Disclosure Requirements</h1> Regulation 59B of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2018, allows an issuer to conduct an initial public offer (IPO) of specified securities on the Main Board through pre-filing of a draft offer document, as an alternative to the traditional IPO process outlined in Chapter-II. The provisions of Chapter-II apply to such IPOs unless explicitly stated otherwise in this Chapter. Regulations 8 and 15 are applicable at the stage of filing the updated draft red herring prospectus-I. These provisions were inserted by a notification dated November 21, 2022.
