of <h1>New Customs Regulations 2021: Identity Verification Required for Importers, Exporters, and Brokers Engaging in Trade Activities</h1> The Customs (Verification of Identity and Compliance) Regulations, 2021 apply to individuals newly engaging in import or export activities, including importers, exporters, and customs brokers. The Commissioner of Customs may also select individuals who previously engaged in these activities or claimed related benefits before the regulations commenced. These regulations do not apply to the Central Government, State Governments, and Public Sector Undertakings. Selected individuals will be notified through the Common Portal or other appropriate means as determined by the Commissioner of Customs.
