Prescribed timeframes apply for authenticity checks, document requests, and substantive origin inquiries, with a possible limited extension by mutual consultation. Further investigative steps can be requested within a fixed period. The importing authority may seek on-site visits to inspect records, production processes and equipment, which the exporting Party must facilitate with accompanying authorities and neutral observers; visits end with a signed Record of Visit detailing the certificate, goods, participants and proceedings.
