          <h1>Transfer of settlement powers to Interim Board changes who exercises settlement functions and applies existing provisions retrospectively.</h1> Section 245DD is amended to provide that, from the 1st day of February, 2021, the powers of the Settlement Commission under that section shall be exercised by the Interim Board and the provisions shall mutatis mutandis apply to the Interim Board as they apply to the Settlement Commission; clauses 61-64 make corresponding amendments to sections 245F, 245G and 245H, and the amendments operate retrospectively from that date.
