Signature and authorisation requirements: filings must follow Act-prescribed signatures and show authorised signatory and contact details for foreign applicants. Regulation 7 requires that every application, verification, annexure, statement and supporting document be signed in the manner prescribed by the Act and accompanied by evidence that the signatory is authorised or competent to sign under the Act. If the applicant is not based in India, a separate annexure must state the applicant's postal and e mail address abroad and the name, address and e mail of any authorised Indian representative to receive notices or documents.
