<h1>Inquiry process for complaints against NCLT/NCLAT members: preliminary scrutiny, three-officer committee probe, findings sent to President</h1> Requires the Central Government, on receipt of a written complaint alleging definite charges of misbehaviour or incapacity of a Member of the NCLT or NCLAT, to conduct preliminary scrutiny and, if investigation is considered necessary, to place the complaint and available supporting material before a three-officer Committee comprising the Cabinet Secretary (Chairman), the Secretary, MCA, and the Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs. Empowers the Committee to devise its own investigation procedure, including recording the complainant's evidence and collecting relevant material. Mandates the Committee to submit its findings to the President of India within the period specified by the President, thereby institutionalising a defined process and reporting channel for inquiry into such complaints.
