Brunei and India Double Tax Avoidance Agreement Covers All Government-Imposed Taxes and Future Similar Taxes
The Double Tax Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) between Brunei Darussalam and India covers all taxes imposed by the respective governments. For Brunei, this includes all taxes administered by its government, while for India, it encompasses taxes imposed by the Central Government, political subdivisions, or local authorities. The agreement extends to any identical or substantially similar taxes introduced after its signing, contingent upon mutual agreement by the competent authorities of both parties. Additionally, the parties are required to notify each other of significant changes in taxation and related information-gathering and collection assistance measures that may impact their obligations under the agreement.
